General FAQ

Once you have selected the course and have verified that you meet all entry requirements, you are good to enrol. To start the admission process, please click on ‘Apply Now’ button on our home page and fill in the form. You may be required to upload documents such as, your recent passport size photo with a blue background; your high school transcripts; medical report in EMGS format and all pages of your passport in colour. If you do not have any of the documents at the time of applying, that is fine. Go ahead with filling up the form. You are allowed to send us the remaining documents later by email. You must note that we will only be able to apply for your visa once we have received all of the above mentioned documents as it is the requirement from the immigration department. Local students must enrol 2 weeks before the start of the course. International students must apply at least 6 weeks before the start of the course. Once your application has been processed and all necessary documentation have been approved, you will receive the following- Unconditional Letter of Offer; and Acceptance Letter It is very important that your application and admission requirements are complete and accurate when they are submitted to Sheffield. An incomplete file is likely to delay the processing and will likely result in postponement of your class.
When you arrive for the first time in Malaysia on a student visa, you must bring along immigration clearance document at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Your passport which is endorsed with single entry visa The letter of approval from the Malaysian Immigration Department Letter of offer from Sheffield These documents will be required at the Immigration counter. A Sheffield representative will welcome you at the airport’s immigration counter and will assist you in the immigration clearance. Please note that if you are coming with a Sheffield provided visa, you will not be allowed to clear immigration check on your own. Therefore, it is a requirement that you inform Sheffield of your arrival at least 7 working days before your actual arrival by sending us a copy of your ticket. We also provide immigration clearance and airport pickup services on monday to friday between 8am and 7pm only. Any services provided outside of these timings will be charged extra. Airport Pick-Up Services for those students who have chosen to avail our fantastic Airport Pickup services will be advised by our friendly staff after clearance from immigration counter and will guide you to the designated vehicle. The driver will then take you to the accommodation you have booked through us or you may also provide your own address within KL metropolitan where you prefer to be dropped off. You may also take your own taxi from the airport.
